We are excited to debut the first edition of the Bexley High School Alumni Association e-newsletter. We hope it will serve as a way to connect and engage BHS alumni both near and far -- keeping you updated on all things Bexley!

ALUMNI MERGER & LEADERSHIP
With the recent merger of the BHSAA under the umbrella of the Bexley Education Foundation, leadership for the alumni association has shifted to the Alumni Relations Committee of the BEF Board of Governors. (Read more about Alumni Merger & Leadership...)

YOU BELONG!
All graduates of Bexley High School are now considered members of the BHSAA. The BHS Class of 2015 received their BHSAA membership cards at graduation and we plan to issue membership cards to every graduating class in the years ahead! Membership extends Bexley Lion pride across the country and the world.

R. L. Stine Scary Story Writing Workshop Students

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT:
Graduate Gives Goosebumps
Best-selling horror fiction writer and BHS Class of '61 Alumnus, Robert "R. L." Stine is in the spotlight once again but this time he is being portrayed on the big screen by comedic actor, Jack Black. The Goosebumps movie, that has creatures from Goosebumps books running wild, opened with a nationwide release on October 16. (Read more about Alumni Spotlight...)

HISTORY & TRADITIONS
The Homecoming traditions that began in Bexley in the mid-1940's continue today albeit with some changes! This year the Homecoming was celebrated with a week of "spirit days" and concluded with the Homecoming Dance held at the Ohio State Student Union on Saturday, October 10. An Alumni Homecoming Happy Hour was held on Friday, October 9 at Zoe's on Main Street in Bexley. (Read more about History & Traditions...)

BHS Football Alumni with current 2015 team

ALUMNI EVENTS
Over 40 former Bexley Lions football players joined members of the current football team for pre and post-game festivities on Friday, September 25. The Varsity Football Lions won the game, beating West Jefferson 42-35. (Read more about Alumni Events...)

National Merit Scholars

BHS STUDENT SCHOLARS
The tradition of academic excellence in Bexley lives on and is exemplified by the recognition of eight members of the BHS Class of 2016 who have been were invited to participate in the National Merit Scholar Program. (Read more about BHS Student Scholars...)

SUPPORT CURRENT & FUTURE ALUMNI

You should have received your BHS Alumni Appeal in your mail box! We invite you to make a gift of any size to the Lions' Pride Alumni Fund to support alumni as well as current student activities or to the BHS Alumni Endowment Fund. The endowment fund honors the memory of Barbara Babbitt Hysell and supports three, $1,000 scholarships awarded annually to Bexley High School seniors.
