Steven Aurnou, Class of ’87, age 49 passed away on December 15, 2018, after a long illness. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved sharing jokes. Read more here.
Helen Sophos Herbert, Class of ’48, age 88, passed away on December 28, 2018. Helen loved life and valued the lifelong friends she met before graduating from Bexley High School in 1948. Read more about Helen’s life here.
Lindsey Dargusch Jenkins, Class of 2002, age 34, passed away from complications with Spina Bifida, a birth defect. She was resilient and strong and she had an amazing energy about her. We will forever keep her love and memory close to us. For more about Lindsey, read here.
Everett “Christopher” Keith Williams, age 67, passed in his sleep on December 1, 2018. Read his obituary here.
Jeanne Haggard McLaughlin, Class of ’47, age 89, died November 20, 2018, at Trinity Grove. She was a long time resident of the Madison Park neighborhood in Charlotte, NC. Read Jeanne’s obituary here.

Gary Janton Seckel, Class of 1949, age 87 died peacefully at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing on November 10, 2018. Gary had three core pillar, Family and Friends, Religion and Profession. To read more about Gary’s life and for Celebration of Life information, read here.
Marcia Leake Wetherbee, Class of 1963, age 73 died on October 15,2018. Her years in Bexley were filled with tomboyish fun and chums she kept for her lifetime. No one could resist her twinkly eyes, bright smile and sense of humor. Read Marcia’s notice here.
Thomas Anders, Class of ’48 age 88, Tom’s fitting last act was to donate his body to The Ohio State University Medical School during half time of the Minnesota game when he departed for a better view of the second half. The family asks that you follow Tom’s spirit of giving by making a donation to the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, the American Red Cross of Central Ohio, or the charity of your choice. Kenneth A. Leach, Class of ’74 age 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on October 7, 2018. “The world is a fine place and worth the fighting for and I hate very much to leave it.” (from For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway.) Evelyn Byrd Dargusch Lanphere, Class of ’48, age 88, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Gahanna, OH. She was a member of the Assisting Board IV of Childhood League, Pleasure Guild, Kinder Key, Jr. Board of West Side & Ohio Avenue Day Nurseries, and the Columbus Country Club. Carole Glick Dorskind, Class of ’63, passed in July, 2018. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. She was empathetic and could always see the world in someone else’s shoes. Robert “Bob” Doak, ’55. Bob Doak passed away in his home, surrounded by family, June 19, 2018. There will be no funeral, celebration or obituary per Bob’s wishes.
