Alumni Spotlight: Graduate Gives Goosebumps

Best-selling horror fiction writer and BHS Class of ’61 alumnus, Robert “R.L” Stine is in the spotlight once again but this time he is being portrayed on the big screen by comedic actor, Jack Black. The Goosebumps movie, that has creatures from Goosebumps books running wild, opened with a nationwide release on October 16. Stine established an endowment with the Bexley Education Foundation in 1996 to support creative writing in Bexley elementary schools. The R. L. Stine Endowment Fund is currently supporting a four-week, scary story writing workshop for Bexley students in fourth through sixth grade.
