On Monday, July 3 Bexley High School alumni, friends and family members gathered at Bexley High School for the fifth annual Alumni Open House. The classes of 1967 and 1982 were well represented, with reunion activities planned for the entire Fourth of July weekend.
Over 50 alumni and their guests enjoyed student-led tours, reminiscing about high school days, checking out renovations to the Cassingham Complex such as the arts wing. Laurel Lea Schafer ‘67, Miss America 1972, reunited with her classmates over the weekend as part of her and her husband’s “summer road trip.” The Class of 1967 made a special top at the Alumni Association’s office to check out Barb Vogel’s “interpretative” artwork of their senior portraits.
Featured at the Alumni Open House was a new line of alumni apparel. BHS alumni t-shirts, raglans and polos can be purchased online through Traxler Tees Printing. Click on the link to the store labeled “Shop” on bexleyalumni.org.
