The 1985 Bexley High School Boys Basketball team was honored on Saturday, January 26, 2019, thirty-five years after remaining undefeated, going 20-0 in regular season play. The team, which won the State AA Poll Championship, also won the C.B.L Championship and earned Bexley its seventh District Championship. Team starters included: Matt Copp, Paul Daily, Bill Hoyer, Bill Kumler and Mike Millard. Team Captain, Bill Hoyer was named to the All-League, All-District and All-State teams.
Team members, the team manager, former cheerleaders and Coach Gene Millard, who was named Coach of the Year for 1985-1986 by the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association, were recognized on center court in between the junior varsity and varsity home games. Current players and coaches joined the alumni players for photos.
